The Improvement of the Students’ Ability in Writing Procedure Text Using Video Recipe

Writing skill is one of the most difficult language skills to be mastered for foreign learners. Learners are demanded not only master linguistic features but also acquire non-linguistic aspects. To train learners, teachers should provide their learners with writing exercises as much possible in classes. This study aimed at investigating effectiveness video recipes improve students’ procedure texts nineth-grade students SMPN 1 Mojowarno, East Java. involved 32 participants that consisted 16 males and females. was designed classroom action research. The CAR Planning, Implementing, observing, reflecting. Each phase has activities dealing use recipe procedural texts. state criterion success, researcher enacted score 76. passed two cycles. In first cycle, still achieving passing grade. Students have achieved second cycle. Based on results, showed interest, pleasure, enthusiasm curiosity during implementation recipes. Therefore, this can inferred able ability text Mojowarno.
